Introduction of R1270 Refrigerant (Propylene)

R1270 refrigerant, alias propylene, chemical formula C3H6. R1270 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant that does not damage the ozone layer at all and has a very small greenhouse effect. It is the most environmentally friendly refrigerant today. From the perspective of environmental protection, almost all countries in the world have no restrictions on the initial installation of R1270 refrigerant on new refrigeration equipment and the use of after-sales maintenance.
Application of R1270 refrigerant
R1270 is mainly used to replace R22, R502 and other refrigerants in low-temperature refrigeration equipment. Because R1270 is flammable, it is usually only used in low-temperature refrigeration equipment with a small liquid charge, or as a component of low-temperature mixed refrigerants. R1270 is compatible with conventional lubricants.
R1270 refrigerant replaces R22
R1270 refrigerant has excellent thermodynamic properties and good system cycle performance and is a very potential pure substitute for R22.
Under the same conditions, the system cooling capacity of R1270 and R22 is basically the same. Compared with the R22 refrigeration system, the energy efficiency ratio of R1270 is increased by 6.5%, the charging volume is reduced by 51%, and the compression ratio is reduced by 27%.
Under the premise of satisfying the cooling capacity, the diameter of the evaporator was changed from 7mm to 5mm by optimizing the evaporator, the number of U-shaped tubes was reduced, the flow path layout was changed, and the R1270 prototype test was carried out with only the evaporator changed. The results show that the cooling capacity of the R1270 and R22 systems is basically the same, and the energy efficiency ratio of the R1270 refrigeration system is 3.31. Compared with the R22 refrigeration system, the energy efficiency ratio is increased by 12.6%, and the charging volume is reduced by 55%.
Storage and transportation of R1270 refrigerant
The R1270 refrigerant cylinder is a pressurized container, which is flammable and explosive. When storing, it should be kept away from fire, heat source and direct sunlight, and usually stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. When handling, it should be loaded and unloaded lightly to prevent damage to cylinders, valves and other accessories.
Refrigeration oil used in conjunction with R1270
Regarding the refrigeration oil used with R1270 refrigerant, it should be determined according to the recommendations of compressor and refrigeration equipment manufacturers, or according to the specific conditions of the refrigeration compressor and refrigeration equipment.
