PROPERTY AND APPLICATION
Colorless, non-toxic, non-flammable, transparent liquefied gas at room temperature, with good thermal properties and chemical stability, and non-corrosive to metals.
Application:
- It can be used as a component of blended refrigerants for medium and high-temperature refrigeration.
- It is a key material in the production of tetrafluoroethylene and an intermediate in the production of fire extinguishing agent 1211.
- It is also used as a blowing agent for extruded ethylene, polystyrene, and polyurethane, as well as in pesticides, as aerosol propellants for spray paint, and as a base material for fluoropolymers.
Replacements: R32, R410A, R134a, R407C
Notice: Since 2010, R22 is subject to import and export restrictions, and importers and exporters need to have quotas.
